Assess Water Entry Before Applying a Treatment

This PCCS page records historical chimney water-sealing information. PCCS has transitioned to Fort Worth Chimney Sweeps, our family-owned operation serving the area since 1991.

A suitable masonry water-repellent treatment may be considered after the chimney condition and source of moisture are evaluated. It does not rebuild damaged masonry or create a guaranteed watertight chimney.

Will water sealing repair a crack?

A coating is not a structural repair. Cracks, missing mortar, or damaged components need assessment and an appropriate repair recommendation.

Is all water entry caused by porous brick?

No. A leak may involve more than one component. Describe when and where moisture appears so the assessment can address the actual concern.

Does FWCS perform roof or flashing repairs?

No. Roofing and flashing work require an appropriate contractor. Confirm which chimney-related assessment or treatment FWCS currently offers.
