Fort Worth Fireplace Panel Replacement — PCCS Archive

Historical Refractory-Panel Project Images

Damaged Panels Require Qualified Assessment

The original PCCS refractory-panel project photographs are preserved. PCCS has transitioned to Fort Worth Chimney Sweeps, our family-owned operation serving the area since 1991.

Refractory panels are functional fireplace components. Replacement must follow the fireplace manufacturer’s requirements. An image alone cannot establish whether a cracked panel is safe for continued use.

Is a hairline crack always harmless?

No universal crack rule applies to every fireplace. Manufacturer limits and the actual condition determine the recommendation; open or through cracks, missing material, and loose components need qualified assessment before use.

Can any panel be cut to fit?

The replacement material and configuration must be suitable for the fireplace. Appearance or fit alone does not establish an approved replacement.

What should I provide to the office?

Share the fireplace identification information, photographs, and any inspection report. Confirm availability, repair scope, and applicable written warranty terms before approval.
