Lint can collect beyond the lint screen in the exhaust duct. Cleaning and assessment address the duct condition; they do not guarantee every blockage is cleared, a fixed energy saving, or compliance with an insurer’s requirements.

Does cleaning the lint screen clean the duct?

No. The lint screen and exhaust duct are separate maintenance points. Keep the screen clean and arrange appropriate duct maintenance.

What if clothes take longer to dry?
